Lawrence Reeves
If you haven't taken a look lately, please go to consairtin.ie. There are many new items including a tribute to Tom Carey featuring west Clare players and friends. The evening activities are well laid out now, and there are choices of two concertina clubs each night plus the candlelight recitals held at the Old Ground Hotel. As stated early on, there is an emphasis of Irish used during the weekend. One of the two concertina clubs are listed in Irish. Some classes of concertina will be taught in Irish. A beginners spoken Irish course is offered on Saturday afternoon. Please also note the discount rate for accommodations at the Old Ground, this is a great price for one of the finest hotels in the west of Ireland. It is helpful to pre-register from a logistics standpoint, and also an added discount for you the attendee. The extra savings can go to purchasing CDs or a few cups of tea during the weekend. Lawrence Reeves
Class locations are announced. All classes will be at the Christian Brothers Primary School on the New Road. This is an easy walk from most accommodations, and nearby to cafes and restaurants for lunch and tea breaks.
