Bill N
I'm currently working up some repertoire with a chap who likes to sing in "A". I can play in "A" on my G/D box, but not with the facility and possibilities of playing "in the row". I'm thinking of trying to pick up a cheap German/Italian box in D/A- double & brass reeded would be OK. Lightning fast action not required, as this would be just for song accompaniment. Anybody have suggestions or a lead?

Bill N
Bill , whatever you do,do not try to sing against a double reeded Tina,Aural Ouch!! Certainly wouldn't with a "real" concertina , but i was thinking of something with brass reeds. I had a double, brass reeded Scholer that had a pleasant, mushy quiet tone that was pretty good back up for singing.
Don Taylor
Bill , whatever you do,do not try to sing against a double reeded Tina,Aural Ouch!! Can you explain this comment please. Ian Robb sings using a double-reeded EC and both his singing and playing sound superb. Don.
