For Hayden/Wicki duet players

Hey, Bruce! Welcome back. I'd love to see a write-up of what you've been up to since you went "off the grid" five years ago. Have you posted one somewhere, or might you do so here?

Interesting instrument. I've always been impressed with the similarities between the hammered dulcimer and the Hayden system. On the dulcimer to play in a different key, you play the same patterns on a different area of the instrument, just like in Hayden. And in addition, I've found that my playing of both instruments is informed by my much longer history playing the cello, which is tuned in 5ths like a violin. The patterns you need to learn to play arpeggios come right off the cello, because both the hammered dulcimer and the Hayden concertina go up a fifth as you cross the bridge or move to the next row.
