david fabre
Hi I have one (from 1907) but it is in bad condition : the leather parts at the junction with the cap and at the handle are torn. If you are not afraid of some renovation works I could send it to you. David
david fabre
I've put a few pictures of my case here : http://www.myspace.com/erbaffdavid/photos/albums/wheatstone-case/1320348#mssrc=SitesPhotos_SP_AlbumCover_ViewAlbum Frankly, I'm not very sure it is worth repairing. The handle and cap junction are broken, the corners are a bit crushed, the lock does not work (there seems to be a broken spring within the mechanism) If you are still interested I will offer it to you for the price of the sending. david fabre
Hi Sean, I've just been to the post office this morning. The sending cost me 19 euros. I expected to donate this sum to this forum, so the simplest is that you do the donation yourself. For the rest... well, if you are happy with the case and you beleive it is worth something, please feel free to send me a little present of your choice (you will find my address within the case) All the best David Edited June 14, 2011 by david fabre

JimLucas
I hope you will enjoy the packing as well That comment reminds me of something from my university days. In the US, the postal rate for sending books and other printed matter was (is?) much lower than for letters or even other parcels. Once when my mother sent me some books, I felt very lucky that I didn't have to pay an extra charge for the fact that she used cookies as packing material to fill the empty spaces. When I received the package, there were obvious crumbs leaking out the seams.

david fabre
Glad to hear that you are happy with it... and that it was not retained by the custom for illegal importation of vegetables Edited June 24, 2011 by david fabre
