michael sam wild
Holly Geraghty and Jonathan Roche - Ceolmhar. I've had no reply so I found what I thought was her email address but got no reply. I realise she may be unavailable. Has anyone a contact for her? michael sam wild
By amazing coincidence I went to The Session to ask the same question and Jonathan Roche , her co artist on Ceolmhar was just on site, selling an accordion. I emailed him and he'd told Holly and she'd posted it already it tomorrow. Just a mix up with messages I reckon. the power of the web eh? Gets you into it then out of it! Edited to say I got it yesterday! Great CD.. She plays C/G 30button and I wonder how she plays so fast in Bb etc! But tere are quite a few in D,G, F , C etc for such as me Edited June 24, 2010 by michael sam wild
David Levine
It's a lovely CD and received well deserved critical response. Just one source: http://celticgrooves.homestead.com/CG_Geraghty_Roche.html
michael sam wild
In the sleeve notes it likens box and concertina together as like 'chilli and chocolate' nice that! Listed Here. Edited June 26, 2010 by michael sam wild
ceemonster
In the sleeve notes it likens box and concertina together as like 'chilli and chocolate' nice that! yeah, i love the cd too. she's a beautiful player. him, too..... other gorgeous concertina/box cd is "open hearth" by mary macnamara and andrew macnamara of east clare....oh, my stars, is that a lovely recording....there's also the box/concertina cd by hugh and colm healy of west clare....that's more high-speed, amped-up stuff with prominent rhythm accompaniment.... michael sam wild
I like Tony McMahon and Noel Hill together they have the same pipes influenced approach I think.
