    Inexpensive Stagi?

I just bought a new Geuns/Wakker to replace my W15-Ln. I have been playing it regularly for the past 5 years or so and have been very pleased with it. Contrary to what you might hear, not all Stagi's are alike. Most of the models do have a problem with the key's falling over to one side and bellow's leak's and what not. The W15-ln does not have the hose pieces under the button's that get brittle and come apart as do all other models of Stagi. The only reason I bought the new Geuns/Wakker is because I had the occasion to play a Wheatstone this past summer and realized there were better concertinas, but not at a price I could afford. If you are sill interested, I would sell my Stagi for $450. It still play's as good as it did when it was new and it has never needed any repair's. If you are interested, call me at 402 527-5197.
  2. What a timely subject. Yesterday my brand new Geuns/Wakker arived, and I think I have found my true love. I havent put it down since. For the past ten years or so I have been having a good time with a couple of Stagi's and thought they were just fine. Last summer I got to play a friend's Wheatstone and realised there was somthing better. After looking at all the maker's website's a few hundred times, I settled on the Geuns/Wakker and in just three month's, it arrived. The craftsmanship and sound is unbeleivable. Now I have got to figure out what to do with the other eight that will be sitting on the shelf. Guess it's time to go to E-Bay.
  3. I left the window's open on my car while visiting a friend on a farm and a cat got in and "left his mark" to. I tried about two hundred dollar's worth of so called cure's. Nothing worked. I eventually sold the vehicle.
  4. Thank's Helen and David--I didnt see the reply--I will give the fiddle idea a try
  5. Hi all---I am the new kid on the block-(new to the forum that is) I live in central Nebraska and have been searching for other player's of our beloved instrument in this area for the last fifteen year's. No luck so far, but I would sure like to get together with one or more of you and do some "jamming"---------Ronf
  6. Hi All,--I'm the new kid on the block-(that is to the forum)- and this is the first time I have ever sent anything to any discussion group. I dont have any "warm fuzzy,s" to give you other than reading your's, but I do have a question. I would very much like to know if anyone of you live any where near my location. I live in central Nebraska and would really like to get together and do some jamming. I have been playing the concertina for several year's now but have never met anyone around here that also play's play's or own's one---Ronf
