Dino Baffetti Black Pearl D/g Melodeon

This concertinist is giving up a brief experiment with melodeons, so I'm selling my beautiful Dino Baffetti D/G special - the one with two bass stops.

Standard configuration, 3rd button start.

Very good condition except for one of the original straps, which is badly frayed but serviceable.

Very strong sound, a great Morris and session box. Very reliable. Extremely light and easy to play.

Will sell with the original hard case and a very nice Fusili backback soft case.

I'd strongly prefer a US sale, since I am not an experienced shipper.

$1100

I find it interesting that you describe it as "standard layout, 3rd button start", I admit I've only ever played two Black Pearls (very nice too) and they were both factory-spec 4th button start. Does that suggest that US and EU "standard" layouts are different, or is it just chance?

Black Pearls are normally 3rd button start and I would be very surprised if a BP was built with 4th button start as they are 9/10 button boxes, so 4th button start would severely restrict the second octave.

Quite right, Lester; the two I've played were Black Pearl IIIs, which are 21-button. and both were bought new by their respective owners with 4th button start. It failed to register with me that the 2-voice model in only 19 buttons.
