Leo
I know this site has a lot of information but...does anybody have a list of good books or websites for me to look at before I buy an instrument? Maybe on different systems or history or anything. please and thank you Alden Hi Alden I assume you are interested in concertina the instrument and not the Dominatrix. A few in no particular order: http://www.concertina.com/ http://www.concertina.net/ http://web.telia.com/~u41321288/index.html http://www.concertina.info/ http://www.lvcott.fsnet.co.uk/ http://concertina.org/ All the pages have numerous links to explore also. Wait 'til you see how deep the rabbit hole goes. Thanks Leo Edited December 2, 2008 by Leo
Tom Hall
Hi Alden - You don't say where in NH you're from, but if you want to go beyond reading, you need to plan a visit to our weekly music sessions at the Press Room in Portsmouth. There's nearly always two concertina players, and if you are in luck you can get to see, hear, try, both English and Anglo, to include Wheatstone, Lachenal, Jeffries, Dipper, and Morse, trebles, tenor-treble, and baritone. I've PMd you my email and more details - Tom
