Bradfield Traditional Music Weekend 2006

Dear all,

 

This is a little late but I agree with what others have said about the weekend.

 

It was a pleasure to meet with friends and to make new acquaintances.

 

The beauty, I think, of this gathering is that, although small in relation to other events, it does allow time to talk, discuss or play with others in a more intimate atmosphere if required.

 

Thanks to those for their kind words personally, in this topic and by direct email regarding my demonstrations and talks (including semaphore). These sessions work well with an open-minded audience willing to participate and I thank those who attended. Making procedures are far easier to demonstrate than to write about and I hope that it is now appreciated by a few that some tasks are difficult, arduous and time consuming thus costly (reed making by hand) whilst others are simple, quick and incur relative negligible cost (spring making).

 

I look forward to next years BTMW.
