andyasw
I'm now considering listing it on "that" site but have no idea what I should either be starting it as or if someone wanted to buy it outright what it might be worth - any ideas? PeterT
Can't get the link to paste, for some reason, but the Wheatstone Ledgers for No.3265 indicate a date of 27th February 1851. The 6-fold bellows puzzle me, as I thought that fewer folds was the norm in the early years. If the bellows are replacements, this could tie in with the more recent address label. andyasw
Just to let everyone know Ihave listed the Wheatstone on ebay. The link is: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Wheatstone-48-button-concertina-from-1851-/221685506691?
Anglo Enthusiast
I'd say the best way to date your concertina would be to put on your best bow tie, comb your hair back, gather a bouquet of flowers, and take your concertina to a drive-in movie. Remember, always behave like a perfect gentleman.
