Elizabeth
Here's some information about the latest recording from Simon Thoumire and Ian Carr. They got together (for the first time in 15 years) to play at the 30th Shetland Folk Festival. They had a blast and went on to record another album - their first was an LP recorded in 1990 called 'Hootz!' You can read more about them here: http://simonthoumire.com/simon-thoumire-and-ian-carr/ The new CD "He Thinks He's Invisible" from Simon Thoumire (English Concertina) and Ian Carr (Guitar) is now available to buy online (including as downloads). RatFace
Thanks for the post - I just bought the CD (it comes with a download option too) and it's great - inspiring, exciting playing from both (as one would expect).
Steve Mansfield
Bought the download yesterday - Simon trailed it on his FootStompin' podcast a few weeks ago and I meant to buy it then, so thanks for the reminder. As Danny said it's really inspiring; two inventive musicians playing the heck out of some tunes, and reigning it in for some lovely passages on others. I can imagine they're quite a force of nature in concert as well!
