GOOSFEST "SQUEEZE IN" UPDATE:

I am delighted that Roy Clinging a well known and respected English concertina player and author of "Cheshire Folk Songs and Associated Traditions" is joining us at the Goosfest "Squeeze In" (details below) to sing, play and offer insight into the songs of the area.

Please send me an email if you wish to receive a 'tune sheet' before the event.

Best Wishes,

Neil

GOOSFEST "SQUEEZE IN"

12th October 2011; 12.30pm

Tap Room, Crown Inn, Goostrey, Cheshire, CW4 8PE

Goostrey is a village in the Cheshire countryside that has a long association with music and dancing. There was an active Morris side here for most of the last century leaving a legacy of an eponymous clog dance which is stil performed throughout Britain.

As part of the village's annual arts festival, "Goosfest", we are having the inaugural "Squeeze In" to bring Free Reed talent out of the woodwork to share in an informal and convivial lunchtime session in the Tap Room of the local pub.

Whatever your playing ability, be it with concertina, melodeon, accordian, please come along and make this event the first of what we hope will become an annual fixture.

Further details about Goosfest can be found here (www.goosfest.com).

Look forward to seeing you in Goostrey.

Best Wishes,

Neil
