david robertson
It's like this: my bank manager would like our relationship to revert to the situation where I lend him money. So I'm offering this restored early Edeophone for £2500. Like the Aeola I'm selling at the moment, it was in lovely original condition when I acquired it, and the restoration has included new pads, valves, bushes, dampers, and phosphor-bronze springs. (I was even inspired to polish the levers!) The ends have been rubbed down, French polished, and fitted with new bushes and thumbstraps, and the instrument has been tuned to concert pitch. As I said, it's an early model Eddie (No.47172), so it still has the same style badges as the New Model - oval on the right, and diamond on the left. It plays, however, as an Edeophone should: fast, light and LOUD! If there's anything else I can tell you, or if you'd like to come and try it in Norwich, please get in touch. THIS INSTRUMENT HAS NOW BEEN SOLD. Edited September 5, 2011 by david robertson
