mthatcher61
A buddy of mine is reading Jeff Shaara's "The Steel Wave" about D-Day in Normandy. He told me that in the book Shaara, who is usually pretty meticulous about research, says that when Rommel was constructing the Atlantic sea wall he would award concertina's to officers for having done a particularly good job. Does any know if this was true? If so is there any more info?
