I was looking at the American Heritage site, http://memory.loc.gov/ammem/mdbquery.html, recommended by Jim in another thread and looked for concertina references. If you do this you find the DeWillo Concert Company with the Concertina Grande. It is worth a look to see just how big the chemnitzer/bandoneon style of machine could get. I think the player must have had arms like the Incredible Hulk to play it, especially as there are no obvious backstraps.
