  3. Also, the price - well, I'd like to sell it for $950 U.S. which would include shipping and insurance to any address in the States (if overseas, we can talk). But make an offer... - Chris
  4. I wish to sell my Lachenal, it was my prized instrument until I got my Jeffries and now I must raise money to pay off the credit card. About the concertina - I bought it 6-7 years ago (on eBay) from Chris Algar at Barleycorn Concertinas in England. It had been beautifully restored (in 1999 by David Leese). The rosewood ends and the intricate design are much more ornate than the average 20 button Lachenal. The bellows are 5 fold. The Lachenal number is 199048. The case is in perfect condition with a few exceptions - it has a broken lock and the lid is slightly warped. But the instrument is in near perfect shape. Noel Hill visited our home in Los Angeles last summer and did some minor adjustments on the reeds to get it sounding at it's best. It really is one of the prettiest 20 buttons I have seen. Probably most of you have moved on to a 30+ button box as I have but this is a wonderful addition to someone's collection if they can afford to have a bunch of concertinas. I was counting on doing this myself but finances are not allowing it (plus my rash decision to buy a set of Uilleean pipes). If you would like more pictures, I can email them to you, also an MP3 file so you can hear what it sounds like. This would also be a fine instrument for a beginner, as it has real concertina reeds instead of accordion reeds, and it's got history under it's buttons! I will be putting it on eBay in the middle of December. Let me know if you are interested. - Chris Kollgaard
  5. I would be very interested in attending. I live in Los Angeles so coming up on a Sunday would suit me well. I won't be able to come until after March 8. Chris Kollgaard (CKollgaard@aol.com)
