Valmai Goodyear
Dear Everyone, Spare Parts (Bryan Creer, Suzanne Higgins and I) will be running concertina part-playing sessions again at the Gosport and Fareham Easter Festival http://www.gosportfestival.co.uk/ this year. The sessions are free - you don't need to show a festival season ticket to get in, although there are a lot of splendid-looking events that might well interest you anyway. All concertina systems are welcome, and so are recording devices. You'll be able to download our three-part arrangements of the tunes from our website http://www.sparepartsband.co.uk/ in midis and .pdfs in the next day or so, but if your excitement is so great that you can't wait that long I can send them to you by email or post on request. Here's our timetable: Friday 10th April 5.15.- 7.00 pm Lysses House Hotel, High Street, Fareham http://www.lysses.co.uk/ Gussondall Bay, Mist-Covered Mountains of Home, Wals voor Polle Saturday 11th. Valmai My family have lived in Fareham for hundreds of years (I have wandering tendencies however) so, once I can play this to a reasonable standard, I will come along to this do.
