GregoireD
Hello everyone, I am selling my Wheatstone, entirely tuned and adjusted by Michael Holmes in 2016. Since then, I only had to change 2 springs. It might need a slight tuning in the next couple years. The sound is really lovely, powerful enough to get heard in the loudest sessions, while still agreeable to play at home. The action is very responsive. I recently received a brand new (and very lovely!) Suttner concertina... and I find myself not playing the Wheatstone a lot anymore. Serial #58251 . I am located in Chambéry, France. It's fairly close to Lyon or Geneva. If anyone is interested, let me know so that I can make videos or sound recording! The easiest would still be for you to try it in person Asked price: 3300€. Happy squeezing!
Oisín
I would live to hear it. I wish I was closer as I would love to actually play it and feel what the action is like. I'm upgrading as I've been playing a beginner instrument for 20 years (it feels like it's time!). Thank you!
GregoireD
I've made a short video : https://youtu.be/5qF987HY3SM It's recorded on a mobile phone, I hope you won't mind the crap picture and sound quality As you can hear, it's still pretty well tuned, one of the middle As might be a tad bit flat compared to the other one but honestly I can't hear it when playing tunes
