Lachenal 48 key English 1890s for sale

Hello all,

 

I've listed the above concertina on eBay due to tight finances and a baby on the way: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/202829362321

The case is definitely showing its age, but the concertina is in working order, all keys operating and not appearing to have any leaks.

 

I would happily cancel the listing and sell privately if requested, as eBay will slap a final listing fee of 9% on the sale price even before PayPal's fees are added on top, which seems steep.

As noted in the auction, fair offers considered (particularly as the members here are likely to have a much better idea of the true value than I do!).

 

Serial number is 33335 (third and fourth digits uncertain, close-up available on auction listing), making it ~1890s.

I do recognise that eBay/internet makes it difficult to know who you are buying from and whether they can be trusted. If it helps, Paul Hardy (Paul_Hardy here, of https://pghardy.net/concertina/index.html) was the one who introduced me to the concertina some years ago (following a trip to France with the twinning association), so he may be able to vouch for me.

I can vouch that Ross Webb does exist, I've known his parents since before he was born (in the village where I live), and that he did buy an English concertina several years ago, so this looks kosher!
