Geoffrey Crabb
Hi Scoopet. Failing a reason for your enquiry, a search of the internet using the keywords 'Copplestone', 'Barnstaple' and '1891 +/- 10 years' provided the attached information that may be relevant. John Bartlett Copplestone.doc It will be seen that John Bartlett Copplestone was, for much of his life, connected with the Pianoforte trade. Indeed the 1891 census shows him resident in Barnstaple as a Pianoforte dealer. It is possible that he may have also dealt in other instruments. If this is so, then, like many others of the period, it is also possible that he procured pre-built concertinas i.e. Lachenals and re-badged them prior to onward sale. Just a thought Geoffrey Edited February 16, 2017 by Geoffrey Crabb
