mguer133
Good day to you all, I'm requesting some information from France. I have the possibility of buying this 48 buttons Hohner english concertina at 200€: http://www.leboncoin.fr/instruments_de_musique/881505812.htm One of the buttons is a bit loose and gets stuck some times. I have a 40€ repair bill for this. I was more into learning on a Duet but they are so rare I might start with that one instead. How would you consider this item in terms of condition, playability, maintenance cost etc? I am a newby so I am still not sure what kind of system I am more inclined to fit in. I have started to learn the diatonic harmonica but I do not think I would be very much at ease with an anglo. It is also rather difficult for me to get a 30 key anglo, because of pricing mainly. The english seems to be a good medium solution. I would like to learn traditionnal folk musik but also, may be french still "paris" street music or polish still folk. Thank you for your advises! Mickael, from the world famous wine region of Bordeaux.
donmcl
Hello Mickael The Hohner is pretty low quality. I'm selling my Jackie English concertina. I can sell it to you for 200 Euros. It is in perfect ás new' condition. It has a great reputation as a starter concertina. I'm selling with a view to upgrading to a vintage concertina. Here is the 'Jackie'website http://www.concertinaconnection.com/jackie-jack.htm Best wishes Donald
