Chris Timson
Warning, those [sarcasm] fine and honourable persons of good will [/sarcasm] at ebay have just started taking 10% of any money paid to you by buyers for postage and packing. It shows up on your account as "Final value fee on postage".For me that's one step too far and I shall stop selling through ebay as of now.Chris
David S
I guess that is to catch those sellers (often from Hong Kong) who sell for 99p and then charge £20 postage? I have never bought from anyone who inflated postage! David
Chris Timson
But it doesn't help people like me who have always been scrupulously straight about their postage. We're being penalised and it just feels like ebay are making a fast buck out of me. Here's how I found out. I put a book up for auction, largish and the cost of posting is £5.60. Sadly it sold for 99p. Well, that's life, you win some, you lose some. Buyer pays Paypal £6.59, I get £6.17. Post Office takes £5.60, ebay takes 10p final fee plus 56p final fee on postage. I'm left with -9p and no book. Chris
