timbev70
I recently purchased an old Flutina, not knowing exactly what it was at the time. The bellows is in relatively good shape but does have a few leaks tat need to be sealed. The mother of pearl keys appear to be in tact and functional. It needs a good cleaning, some lubrication and new pads. Does anyone know of someone who does this type of restoration for a reasonable fee? I am a woodwinds musician and could replace the pads, etc. but I have no idea how to seal a bellows. Need advice and help. Sean M
For bellows repair The Button Box would be a good place to look.
Dave C
You could also contact Andy Gelfert at the Victorian Accordeon Company Andy has done some reed fabrication and tuning for me, and he is currently working on a reproduction of an early French accordeon or flutina as they are sometimes called.
