I never quite know when the crew will queue it up. At least this time it's the director of the Seattle Symphony and not the hydroplane racer or that crazy TV gardener. I don't remember the announcements being anything special when I went to Vashon Island in 2009. Have they always done that, or is it a recent thing? Maybe they should try something similar on the Shannon Feries here - I guess it might make people actually listen to the safety announcements, once in a while... The "I hate the celebrity voices" facebook group has posts back to 2008 There's no money left in the state to pay for midly amusing new annoucements and I don't know if they had to pay royalties on some of the others.
