Grey Day

Recommended Posts

This is a tune I wrote the other day when stuck inside on a bank holiday coz of that horrible weather.

Love to hear the results of anyone who thinks its worth playing. :)

Thank you to steve for transcribing this for me.

W:(sounds more complete to finish on A-music)

(btw. there is a 'chorus' "its a grey and stormy day today, that's why I can't go out and play....")

there is discussion of it over at melnet

My partner was in the bath when this played and she said ' that's a nice catchy tune ' and she knows a good tune when she hears one. Well done smile.gif

Thanks. :) Obviously a lady of taste.

This is a tune I wrote

Is that good or bad?

I wouldn't call casual doodling "a tune".

casual doodling? well it seems everyone else disagrees with you there as they are calling it a tune.

I would, and a nice tune it is too.

thank you. :)

A good melody can be the start of a great tune and an arrangement. Surely this site isn't a showcase for virtuosos it's a place for us, possibly, isolated geeks to swop iformation, ideas and enthusiasms and expect mutual support. We are not thick on the ground and need all the support we can get not snidey sniping.

( I may be ratty cos of our election results!)

snidey [ˈsnaɪdɪ] (of a remark, etc.) maliciously derogatory.

I must admit though that the question asked, though formulated in strange (to me) manner, can be interpreted as:

"I want to hear from people, who liked my offering". Since I obviously didn't like the offering, my job was to shut up.

My sincere apologies for misinterpreting the question as "what do you think?".

It's a grey and stormy day here today but we are off to Holmfirth Fesival for a session or two. That tune will be our theme for the journey. We reckon it would be a good soundtrack for a silent movie of kids with their noses pressed to the wet windows and imagining playing outsmile.gif
