Hi, Could anyone direct me to an article which gives precise details of what reed tongue profiling is. I have the silicon spring steel cut to the correct width for the shoes, have tuned possibly thousands of reeds over my time, but never fathomed what profiling is, or rather how to determine the correct profile for a reed. The reeds I have tuned have never been affected in their quality of sound, but then tuning is over such a small range that it most possibly does not affect the profile, whatever that is.. Some nice accurate diagrams would certainly help. David
