  1. Thanks Stephen, I will check that out.
  2. I was in the exact situation as you 6 months ago. First I fell for the 20 button $89 'Morelli' (real Italian engineering was in the description) concertina on e-bay which was made in China. Last month I bought a Stagi, their top-of-line 30 button from a discount store. Read my grief with this in the repair and constructions section. If I could do it all over again I would rent!
  3. It is a Stagi 15-Ln, (30 buttons) brand new. What's happening is that there is a delay in the reponse of seven reeds. They all occur on the left side for what that's worth. Some do it on the push and some on the pull. Some have a delay I can live with, but two of them are bad enough to make it impossible to play properly, and they are ones that are towards the center and used alot. I looked inside and the worst one (which is a pull) is obviously to high above the frame. With the others it is hard to tell as I don't know much about all this yet. But I am ready and willing to tackle this if you are able to show me how. Thanks!
  4. I need to re-set an accordian-style reed that is sitting slightly too high above the reed plate. I went through all the repair information links given here and couldn't find anything. Where else could I go to find out how to do this?
  5. I ordered a new Stagi 15 LN over the internet from an accordian discount place ( I know.......risky, but I just can't afford right now to buy from a place like the Button Box). Well, it sounds and works just great, a real treat after my Chinese box, except for one reed (the D on the left side). There is a little hesitation and sucking air sound before it plays. It is enough to slow me down and I was just starting to pick up some speed. I would just send it back for another one but am thinking the next one will surely have one off too, or worse, more. Okay, finally the question, is this something that I could fix myself? I opened my other box to fix stuck buttons all the time, but this sounds like a reed problem? Also, is this a common problem with Stagi's? Oh, rats! I have really fallen for this instrument and this is so frustrating. I had really been looking forward to one that 'worked' and sounded nicer. Thanks for any advice.
