I purchased a Dipper County Clare just over one year ago. I had to wait quite a while to get it and in the interim I took up the guitar. I now find myself unable to find enough hours in the day to spend with both instruments. And, frankly, I have fallen for the guitar -- a heretical statment for concertina.net. My decision to offer it up for sale has not come easily. I finally decided that it's best to see it in the hands of someone who has time to play it and will consider it a joy not a burden. I would like it to go to a good home -- it deserves such a fate.
The instrument is serial no. 437. It has 30 buttons, C/G scheme. The bellows are black goatskin with paper done by Colin's wife; the wood on either end is also black and I think they are english hornbeam or ebony; and the ends hand cut and hand engraved metal with a traditional Victorian design. I have the original bill of sale, dated Dec. 1, 2006, from Colin.
