  2. Cheers, it is my favorite of the accordion family, indeed. What you just mentioned is exactly what I was thinking. I like the "stiff" make much better, that has naturally been broken in. These bellows have all the gussets set so they are very easy to open and close, but as I said, they're floppy, bouncy and the pleats clap on the push. Anyway, I'm really just looking for confirmation that I'm not crazy!
  3. I realize this is a concertina forum but I can't find hardly any other forums on diatonic button accordions that have had any answers for my question. I have a Cajun accordion hand made in Louisiana that I recenelty had the bellows changed on. The builders down there only use the finest Italian bellows, but something is very different about these replacement bellows. All of the gussets are not tucked into the bellows. They appear to be yanked out or never tucked in to begin with. These bellows open and close very easily and seem to have a somewhat broken in feel to them. They are definately brand new bellows, that is not in question. I am used to playing Cajun accordions that seem more stiff and have all gussets tucked neatly into the bellows. These new bellows seem easier to push and pull, but they are floppy as hell. The metal corners also smack together a whole lot. My question: are there bellows made in Italian companies that are specifically made like this for some reason? Thanks for your info
