  1. Since it's obvious that originally it was made this way (and looks fine the way it is) I'll leave it in it's original condition/state. Thanks ever so much!
  2. Yes it is original, and after looking it over, I think I'll leave it be as it looks fine. Sorry to have been a bother.
  3. I was thinking the later one on the Stagli however, it's a 50's/60's Bastari and I want to be "period correct" when I refinish it, so I suppose I need to know how it looked originally :). If it was left natural and only the top was stained, that's cool that I can do no problem.
  4. Alex, I have an early (60's/70's) Bastari 30 button English concertina that the familiar colored veneer that sits around the lids is missing, it's just clean wood. I could stain it dark similar to what you have here, but I was really hoping to be able to locate the veneer strips to return it to it's original appearance. Any idea where I could start looking for it?
