Have you mentioned it to Jim Ellis in Owen Sound? He was at one point on the look out for something similar I think. Hope all is good with you!
Thanks Gav. I'll get in touch with him. There is someone sort of interested at the moment but Jim is nice and close!
I hope all is good with you.

I still have this beauty. Open to offers close to the asking price. I have another instrument I can buy once I have sold the Edeophone.
-
Concertina spares also sells these and I have found theirs to be good and competitively priced.

Restored 30-button rosewood C/G anglo concertina. Tight with good 6-fold bellows, responsive steel reeds and bone buttons. Plays well, excellent for sessions. Price is in Canadian dollars. The instrument is in A=440 modern pitch. Dates to the 1920s I believe. The concertina is in Canada but I will be in the UK for the first 3 weeks of November. C$2900 plus shipping and insurance.

48-key English concertina with excellent 5-fold bellows, raised nickel silver ends and nickel silver buttons. The legendary Model 22. Recently restored and an excellent player. The best Wheatstone after the Aeolas and reported to have Aeola quality reeds. Good for session playing and song accompaniment. This one is Serial number 28406, dated May 1920, right in the golden era fro Wheatstones. In modern A=440 pitch. Located in Toronto, Canada but I'll over in the UK for the first 3 weeks of November.

In my experience it is always best to ship with USPS/Royal Mail/Canada post than with any of the courier companies. The couriers are lazy with the duties and always charge. Post office most often just comes in without duties/taxes - but not always.

Close, but 1893 according to the most recent tweak of the estimates.
Thanks Stephen

Lachenal 30-button, rosewood-ended 6-fold bellows, steel reeds 130021. I'm guessing 1892 based on info in previous responses? Thanks.

Seriously overpriced but interesting instrument. Likely re-badged. The fretwork is clearly not Lachenal and looks a bit like that on German instruments of the time. Any thoughts of what make it is - or did Bostock make instruments. I don't now the name.
I just found some answers on an old thread. Thoughts on this one Stephen?

Hmm, I did get a response from Joey. I would need to try it so I guess I'll pass also.

I'm wondering if this is a scam. The seller is not communicating about his location and checking the instrument out. Those thumb straps don't look new either.

There is an ebay seller in Ireland who offers bellows that are 6 1/4 inch, maybe they would be close enough?
Renelli is a low end Italian concertina so those bellows would be overkill and a different way of attaching I believe. Maybe find a scrap italian instrument and rescue the bellows? Otherwise, maybe try contacting Hohner?

I think the original, genuine listing was up a few weeks back. I also reported this one. Surprised they have done nothing about it.

The model 6 is certainly a fine instrument. I have a model 8 which is the extended treble version. Lovely player. I would dispute your note that things went downhill after WW1. I would say they remained high quality to the end of the 20s at least and possibly into the early 30s.

I would just comment that the top "real" concertinas are easily as responsive as any hybrid. I mean here the Dippers, Carrolls, Wheatstones etc. In my opinion the sound is much superior but you pay more for the instrument of course.

Attractive rosewood-ended Jones concertina with intricate fretwork. The instrument has 6-fold bellows, is in modern concert pitch. It plays well and, has riveted action. C$2500 (equates to US$1995, GBP1450). The instrument is in excellent condition. Some minor fretwork repairs at one end as shown in the pictures. A great instrument for singing accompaniment and sessions at a starter concertina price. Shipping and insurance extra at cost.

Sold. Donation made on consignment fee.

Selling on consignment, a rare and beautiful 56-button, wooden (ebonized) ended Crane duet concertina. Serial number 35721 which dates it to 31st July 1950. The instrument has steel reeds in aluminum frames, making it reasonably light for this size of instrument. The 8-fold bellows are in as-new condition. In fact the whole instrument looks lightly played. The inside reed pans are as-new visually. Asking C$4500 which currently equates to approximately US$3718 or GBP2640. It comes with an original leather case, also in excellent condition.

Guys, I had it on good authority that this was not a scam or a stolen instrument. 100% definite.

In which case it would be very helpful if the seller would pass questions on to the owner and come back with the answers. It does make sense that someone who has never sold on ebay would get someone who is a regular seller to do it on their behalf.
Agreed. He needs to edit it and add some more relevant photos. Unfortunately that's up to him.
