Have not seen Alistair for about 11 years, so could not really miss the opportunity. Regards, Peter. PS - for anyone still wishing to book; be quick to avoid disappointment. Valmai Goodyear
Peter's right. We have seven tickets left for Alistair's evening performance at the Lewes Arms and the workshop is bulging at the seams. We'll just have to get him back to Lewes as soon as possible. Our next purely concertina workshop will be with Robert Harbron on 24th. November next year. Rob and Emma Reid will perform at the club in the evening. PeterT
Hi Valmai, Thanks for organising today's workshop, which was a good opportunity to learn in a relaxed environment, and also good to meet other players, some of whom I had not previously met. Thanks, also, are due to Alistair Anderson; patient and good fun, as always! Regards, Peter.
John Wild
It was a long day but a good day out. I am sure I learned something in the workshop but cannot be sure until I get down to more private practice at home. Alistair also gave a President's address to the AGM of the International Concertina Association, which produced a fruitful debate with participation from Geoffrey Crabb. Apart from the routine of Officers reports and elections etc. the AGM produced some lively debate giving the committee some pointers on matters to pursue for the future. I enjoyed the evening concert, which included a spot from Alan Day. And it was an occasion to meet old friends again. I am glad we put the clocks back an our tonight - I think I need the extra sleep and won't be too late tomorrow. - John Wild
