ceolcascadian
Come join the fun at Cascadia Irish Music Week, August 5-11, 2018, in Olympia, WA. We're thrilled to welcome 2017's TG4 Young Musician of the Year, concertina player Liam O'Brien, to the beautiful Pacific Northwest this summer. Hailing from Miltown Malbay, County Clare, Liam has taught at the Willie Clancy Summer School and travels extensively giving workshops and lessons. About his debut album The Lane, Maurice Lennon said, "His playing here is simply sublime. It is by no means simple, but Liam has been blessed with the rare gift of making it sound as though it is." Ken_Coles
A bunch of my immediate relatives have moved to nearby Tacoma in the last two years - I may just have to check this out! A very pleasant part of the country. Ken
ceolcascadian
Cascadia Irish Music Week is almost here! We're gearing up for a fantastic week of classes, concerts, and sessions. Classes are filling up but we still have room in Liam's, so if you're thinking of attending please let us know as soon as possible. We're also welcoming to camp this year the beloved dance teacher Mairead Casey from County Longford. She'll teach sean nos and set dancing. You may have heard that learning Irish dance will improve your rhythm...now here's your chance. Join the rest of us two-left-footed musicians and enjoy learning something new! www.cascadiairish.org
