Jeff Warner song accompaniment workshop, Lewes 19 Sept

Recommended Posts

A fine singer of American traditional songs, Jeff (www.jeffwarner.com) accompanies himself on guitar, 5-string banjo & English concertina. He presents music from North Carolina to New England with warmth, humour & understated scholarship. He's also a great teacher with a deep understanding of the origins on the music & how to perform it for today's listeners.

The advance music for his all-day workshop in Lewes, Sussex, UK on 19th. September is now ready to be sent out (four songs as mp3s, plus words). Jeff recommends bringing a recording device if you have one, and also a song to try out in the group.

Jeff performs at the Lewes Saturday Folk Club in the evening.

We still have places at the workshop and tickets for the evening performance. A booking form follows my signature.

Best wishes,

Valmai

When I saw the thread title, my hunch was that it probably wasn't in Lewes, Delaware, US! You're lucky to have him, he knows quite a bit!

Ken

Yes - I was keeping the title short, but I hope it was clear from the body of the post that the workshop's in Sussex rather than Delaware. Does Lewes, Delaware have a lot of traditional music? Should we establish contact? Lewes in Sussex is soaked in the stuff.

We're looking forward to Jeff's visit, and whisking him off to a party on the Friday evening.
