Alan Day at Lewes Saturday Folk Club, 21st. March

Recommended Posts

Alan is the guest performer at the Lewes Saturday Folk Club (formerly Lewes Arms Folk Club) on Saturday 21st. March. The club now meets at the Elephant & Castle, White Hill, Lewes BN7 2DJ (http://www.elephantandcastlelewes.co.uk/) which has an excellent function room and superb Harveys best bitter. As before, we meet every Saturday, only stopping for Christmas or Bonfire if they are too close to a Saturday.

The club's website remains http://www.lewesarmsfolkclub.org/ and has a splendid new logo of an elephant decorated with the Lewes coat of arms, designed by our Captain of Website and English tenor-treble player Bryan Creer.

Bryan's Concertinas Anonymous sessions are now in the Elephant on the second Tuesday of the month. The Lewes Favourites English tunes practice sessions are also in the Elephant on the fourth Tuesday of the month. Both these sessions are free.

Admission is £5.

This was a very laid back evening; a delightful mixture of music, song, anecdotes and an odd monologue or two. Alan's appearance attracted other notable squeezers along to join in the fun and a thoroughly good time was had by all.

I wish could have made it.
