I have never really had much trouble getting a tune to come out reasonably smooth on the concertina (figure a day or two of practice after I learn the tune), but then again the concertina is my second diatonic squeezebox (B/C accordion being the first). I would think the key would be to play tunes slowly concentrating on keeping a nice steady tempo and then gradually let yourself speed up. I bet in a couple of weeks you will probably be playing the tunes you know quite smoothly... of course you will probably also want to move up to a 24 or a 30 button then -- Bill Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
