How to log toons within a recording/video? Archiving

Recommended Posts

InsightandMind just about to finalise for youtube nearly five hours of Swaledale Squeeze 2011 first all-nighter 13/14 May. (Just Part of that session, as there is more....)

Folk often ask if one can mention the name of the tune etc. of performer but that does not always happen/work.

For this effort I thought we might try to attempt a little log.

With start time / file name / start time again

inputted into Table (in MS Word as a base).

In theory one can then extract text/numbers from the cells/rows and have as separate Word text for sorting alphabetically or by time.

We are hoping that means it can be sorted (in Word) by alphabetically with time point afterwards.

It may help build a little searchable archive to which one could also add the dots praps. Unless someone else has a suggestion or tells us there is no point. Excel format is not an option (hate it anyway as it never fits on small screen etc etc).

Thorts? ???

Actually, depending upon how you intend to present/publish this information, using plain-text XML might work better. It would be a relatively simple process to create a webpage with the video embedded in it along with the controls needed to sort/format & present the information. It would be cross-platform/browser independant and eliminate the need for Word or other proprietary software. Someone with a website would simply need to offer to host the page....
