Yes, this is the strap. However, their advertising does not mention the fittings, only the review you quote does, and that leads me to believe that the UK companies that sell it might also supply the fittings without mentioning that fact, so I'll give them a ring.

Having searched the forums, I can't find an answer to the following question, so please excuse me if I have missed any answer.
I have a Hardigg (now Peli) iM2075 Storm Case for my concertina. There is a strap available which has to be fitted by the buyer. However, UK companies I can find only sell the strap alone, which is as much use as an ashtray on a motorbike without the fittings. Does anyone know of a UK supplier who sells the fittings please?

I can't sight read anything like fast enough to play along to written music. What I do is write the notes above the music score and then learn 5 notes at a time, practise till I know them and then move on. Eventually I know the whole tune. The timing is no problem because I can imagine this in my head from hearing the music played a few times. Finally I bung the ABC into ABC Explorer, slow it down and play along to it; slowly increasing the speed until I can play it at its usual tempo. This method has served me well so far.

Always loved reggae since I was a nipper and, yes, she does a great job, along with the rest of the band, of course.

Lovely playing and lovely instrument.

According to my NLP and Accelerated Learning training, one learns most at the beginning and end of a practice session. So 6 ten-minute sessions are better than a straight 1 hour one. I leave my instrument where I can see it and pick if up and play a bit whenever I am passing by.

Thank you for this most enjoyable podcast.

The second link didn't work for me.

Thanks for posting these. They were once much loved I think, which one can tell even from the humorous comments.

I thoroughly enjoyed the CD and it gives me a bench mark to aim for with my playing too.

I only ever see adverts that are concertina related.
-
If there is a concertina group near you, it's well worth giving them a visit and seeing what they have to offer in the way of teaching. I travel to one most months that involves two trains and the London Underground for a total of two hours but is well worth it.

As far as I can see the posts are glued to a flat surface.
-
That is interesting Theo because my posts don't have holes but fit flat, Mine is a Wheatstone however.

I had to do a similar repair to the posts on both ends of my instrument and it looks to me like you handled it in the correct way. I say this because my gluing has worked for months now and was successful and not because I'm any sort of expert with repairs; far from it.

I would go. I'm in Greater London.

Looking at your set-up, David, I reckon this should also work with an English concertina - unless anyone knows better.
-
I don't play a Duet but I'm interested enough to want to know more about them and therefore find the answers your questions evoke to be good reading Ron.

Perhaps it won't work outside the United States?

I'm getting a message 'Sorry, Video Not Available' Randy.

All I can say is Bravo! This is the sort of sound that would make anyone with a musical bent give a thought to learning the concertina.

It probably is covered by luggage insurance but it would not be wise to actually put it in your checked-in luggage and, if carried by hand, it should be safe. Surely luggage insurance only covers the items whilst one is travelling and up to when it is handed over? Then you would need to insure it for when it is outside the airport.

Great lyrics and tune, not to mention the playing. Thanks.

Bony and the Kelly Gang by Arthur Upfield contains the following:
'"We'll pick some leaves and play on 'em while Uncle Joe grinds on his concertina," declared the boy on Boney's right.
'"I like that," objected the bald man. "Grinding on me concertina."'

Thank you Robin. I have copied your idea and it works to a tee.
