Just tried it on my 5s and get the same error.

For the same price, the Button Box will block one to fit your requirements:

Sounds like your straps may be too tight, try loosening them a notch or two. Mine are adjusted so that there is 1/2" clear space between my palm and the handrest. Looser straps will help you reach all the buttons easily - especially if you have smaller hands. It's pretty common for those new to the instrument to dog the straps down fairly snug to anchor the hands in place.

that isn't by chance on your vehicle license plate?
Funny you should mention that... yes, it is!

Here is an article by Bob Tedrow on replacing the bushing board on a metal-ended Marcus Anglo. No metal sleeves needed - the holes are lined with felt. This is the traditional way metal-ended concertinas are bushed.

OP hasn't been on site since Nov. 5th.

tona,
Very nice indeed, I especially love the sound of the low reeds on your baritone!
-
It's a guitar nut.

Text within the video states that it is a Bastari 40-key Anglo in C/G.

The other 4 buttons are rarely used by most of us!
Not if you play in the English harmonic style...

Some free tracks of the late Nick Robertshaw accompanied by his Jeffries duet are available here:

Jim, we just won't agree on the matter so why not just stop arguing?
If you're going to ask Jim to stop arguing then it's only fair to ask you to stop evangelizing. I think we all know your views on the Hayden system by now, no need to keep trying to sell us on them or ramming them down our throats.

My 1890's metal buttoned Jeffries has a sycamore action board and reedpan, my 2001 Dipper Cotswold was made with a multi-ply reedpan at Colin's suggestion because I was living in a humid area.

One final question, if I may, and then I think I will be able to rest easy. On the basis that I've been playing a D/G melodeon, albeit with a third full row of accidentals, am I right in thinking that it would be far more intuitive to play a G/D concertina than a C/G or am I missing something?
In my experience, yes.

Works fine for me.

Looks like it's an English: http://www.concertina.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=15872&hl=

Better check with the Button Box, neither a drone nor 7-fold bellows are listed as options.
-
No (visible) pads or levers.
I think they are covered by baffles.

Here is a chart for a 45-key Jeffries currently for sale at The Button Box. If you study the extra buttons, you will see that many of the notes are the same as nearby buttons, but with the bellows direction reversed.

As I recall, the wood on the CC was not very impressive, very porous and open and pretty ugly grain. The "ebonised" finish was the same wood that looked like it had been colored with a marker. My impression was that the Morse was much more value for the price.
