Kautilya
A fresh new face who popped into the George Squeeze and Scrape last week with her pipes and whistles is part of a group (Dancing Slippers - second act- playing French and Galician tunes at a gig starting with first act at 1900 on Saturday March 19th at The Gallery Café ( see below), Bethnal. Green London. All e-tickets a nice low five quid (online booking fee 50p it seems). She said there could (only perhaps) be a bit of session at the end of the formal concert itself, depending on time etc., so you can bring your instrument just in case. There are also quite a few eateries open late down (e.g. Chinese) on Bethnal Green Rd and (Vietnamese) on the Kingsland Road towards the river, but after starting cheap they have got more expensive recently! http://www.allinlondon.co.uk/vietnamese-restaurants.php?page=2 There are four Dancing Slippers at the gig, but you can see her here conducting and piping with a couple more players: Gig details http://preview.tinyurl.com/6xdav2e Gallery Café St. Margaret's House Settlement 21 Old Ford Road Bethnal Green E2 9PL Directions etc http://stmargaretshouse.org.uk/contact Edited March 11, 2011 by Kautilya
