Or is the feedback artificially generated? Their feedback is over the last 4 years and appears to be genuine, "artificial" feedback would all be very recently generated. I'd be worried about any seller who says their preferred method of payment is "wire transfer or bank draft" - you might as well send them cash! Unfortunately for the seller, he wasn't smart enough (or did not speak english) to remove specific stuff like "I just received my new Dipper" and "I recorded some Youtube clips". It might be a good move for all of us (and also people who don't read concertina.net) to do so when you have a serious suspicion and/or have proof that a specific auction is a scam (maybe even referring to the thread on this forum). They may cancel the auction before any damage is done. It might even deter the individual criminal from trying the same trick again (with a concertina, that is). My guess would be that Azalin's complaint was the key thing because it pointed to information within eBay's own records. That seems to be one of the best ways to get them to take down a fraudulent listing. Another one that seems to work well is to point out a violation of Ebay's own rules, such as a listing that instructs potential buyers to arrange for payment outside of the normal eBay bidding structure. What I wrote is based on my own experience in reporting a number of fraudulent auctions and following the results of others' reports here -- but time lags happen too. Would still be v useful if our e-wizards can tell us how to post the pic and details of the item here, BEFORE they disappear.. that would mean many more eyes and memories on the qui vive for the future..... here's my effort but may not be the right way.. but only took about a minute.
