"Aunt Ada's Waltz/French Waltz"

Recommended Posts

I hope Alan doesn't mind me posting a link to a duet we do on concertina and guitar. The first tune in the set is a lovely composition by Al called "Aunt Ada's Waltz", and the second is what he calls the 'French Waltz".

We have played this live - and very nice it was - but this actual recording was the result of an mp3 file being emailed between us, added to, and then emailed back!

We've been working on duets recently and I'm just loving it - so had to share this.

Very pretty... What kind of duet does Al play?

Apologies for my lack of clarity. The "duet" refers to our collaboration - not the box! Al was playing a G/D Anglo on this one.

Hi Will,

I just read it wrong.

I thought he was getting some nice 'bounce' out of a duet, which is difficult to do (I think). Playing the G/D anglo sounds about right....
