Patrick King Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Hi all, This is just a number of lessons that I've put together myself to teach people how to read sheet-music. This file is the first Lesson; and in a couple of more days, or even tomorrow, I will put up a bit of work based on what you've learnt from this first Lesson. You can refer to the first Lesson for help with the work; but you may not need to. Just keep testing your self in the 1st work sheet(which as I said, shall post it up maybe tomorrow or in a few days,) until you get them right. I will put 2 different levels of working-sheets, one for just beginners, the other one for more advanced musicians. the 2nd Lesson will be posted in a weeks time, but keep an eye out in this same topic for the work-sheets for lesson #1. Regards and Best of Luck, Patrick

JimLucas Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 (edited) Here you go: On the above page, it says: "With Irish/Any Folk music, the music will be written in the Treble Clef. Only with classical music, you will see the music written in both the Treble and Bass clef." In fact, there are a number of books of "folk" musics -- Irish, Scottish, contra dance, and I'm sure others -- arranged for piano, and thus using both treble and bass clefs. Edited to improve the formatting. Edited May 29, 2009 by JimLucas

Patrick King Posted June 1, 2009 Author Posted June 1, 2009 Hi all, I've got the work-sheets ready, but I might be a little while until I put them up on here because my brothers computer needs reinstalling again. (The 2nd time this year , and his computer has the only scanner there is in our ouse, because my father's and my computers don't have scanner or printer ports; they're too modern.) Just thought I'd let you know, Hope to have them up soon anyway, Cheers, Patrick
