christine Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 I'm trying to find the value of a Hohner International D40/80/6LT 40-button Anglo concertina. I believe it's about 15-16years old. From my limited concertina playing experience, it plays well. I've been unable to find anything on the net about this model, other than a request for info on the concertina history forum some time ago here - the picture shows the same model. THe Hohner web site doesn't list this model so I assume they're not made any more. Thanks

It has a lot of articles on the history of concertinas. I've heard of 40-button concertinas before, but I'd have no idea of what it might be worth. Good luck in your search! KerryF
Daniel Hersh Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 (edited) Your link didn't work. Did you mean this picture? If so, it looks like a re-badged 40-button Bastari to me. (The picture's not great, but I can't think of anything else that it could be.) You may be correct that these are no longer made. The Button Box web site says that they can get the similar Stagi W-40 by special order, but that model doesn't appear on Brunner/Stagi's own web site. I would guess that it would sell for somewhere in the $300-$500 range if it's in good playing condition. christine Posted May 21, 2009 Author Posted May 21, 2009 Thanks Daniel, that's been very helpful. I agree with you that it looks very much like a Bastari. I found a picture of a Bastari C/G Anglo Concertina for sale on the Elderly web site that's just about identical here (hope the link works this time ) I assume you were talking US dollars?
