Jody Kruskal Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 April is waning and this Sunday was hot, hot, hot, felt like the first day of summer. The perfect time to make my latest TOTM offering. Text below: I was listening recently to some live recordings of my band Dressed Ship playing a few months ago for a Playford dance here in New York City. These old English country dances are lovely tunes and here is a fine example, Kill Him With Kindness, first published in the early 1700’s. Click the link below to hear this selection which starts with me on solo Anglo concertina playing the tune in my studio and segues into the live dance recording with Tom Phillips on fiddle and Bill Peek playing piano. david fabre Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 Lovely tune. I'm wondering what is your source for such 1700 things. April is waning and this Sunday was hot, hot, hot, felt like the first day of summer. You're lucky. In Toulouse sunday was rainy, rainy and cold, cold, as the last day of winter.

Being an American, I look first in "The Barnes Book of English Country Dance Tunes" by Peter Barnes available wherever Playford collections are sold including here..
