Are May Fairs included in Wheatstone Ledgers?

Hello All,

 

I have looked but it isn't obvious whether May Fair concertinas are included in the Wheastone Ledgers (which cover the years in which May Fairs were made).

 

If they are not in the ledgers, does this mean that they were not made by Wheatstone?

They were indeed made by Wheatstone, though Wheatstone didn't make the reeds -- see this post. I don't know whether they were included in the ledgers.

Dear Daniel,

Many thanks for your reply........I understand that the reeds were Italian accordian reeds but whether the May Fairs warranted inclusion in the ledgers defeats me.
