wally
Lets have your nominations for tunes that should never be played on a concertina (especially those that frequently are) For instance I do a rendition of the Eastenders theme tune, should I be publicly flogged. Wally (a nickname not a description of my personality) p.s. for those not of our culture the name Wally has become an insult indicating a person of low intelligence. This would really (reely?) be a more appropriate tune to play: http://www.thesession.org/tunes/display/
Dave Rogers
Back on topic, how about the theme from the 70s cop show "Van der Valk" ("High Level")? That sounds incredibly cheesy on the concertina. Come to think of it, most TV theme tunes sound pretty awful on any instrument...

Dave Rogers
Wally.....Walter Scott = Clot Ah well, that's the polite version... A "Wally" is East End slang for a large pickled gherkin (standard accompaniment in fish & chip shops) and the "negative conotations" have to do with its size and shape... The site is, nowadays, better known for the BRIT School, built in the grounds of the Girls' School playing fields. It seems to be a "production line" of talent for the pop world. http://www.brit.croydon.sch.uk/

Dave Rogers
Impressive! Is any of that downloadable music on the BRIT website suitable (or unsuitable) for playing on concertina (he asks, making a token effort to stay on topic)?
