I'm selling a Concertina over on eBay today & I've just been asked this question:

"Can you tell me the size crossver in mm."

Can anyone here tell me what I should measure, because, excuse my ignorance, but this means absolutely nothing to me! :(

Cheers

Dick

Can only guess that they are asking for the diameter of the ends, flat to flat. ???

I agree with Rod.

"Crossver" Looks very technical, but I'd say its a typo for cross-over. And even then ...

OK So that'd be 150mm - does that sound normal for an 1890s Jeffries?

Anyway, I replied to this guy, asking him to clarify, so at least now, I'm ready to reply to him.

Thanks.

By the way, how many different sizes were there for 26/30 button Jeffries?

Cheers

That's the right thing to do, rather than guess at his meaning and risk misinforming him.

Except that Jeffries probably would have called it 6 inches.
