Ptarmigan Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 (edited) I'm selling a Concertina over on eBay today & I've just been asked this question: "Can you tell me the size crossver in mm." Can anyone here tell me what I should measure, because, excuse my ignorance, but this means absolutely nothing to me! Cheers Dick Edited December 14, 2008 by Ptarmigan

Anyway, I replied to this guy, asking him to clarify, so at least now, I'm ready to reply to him. Thanks. By the way, how many different sizes were there for 26/30 button Jeffries? Cheers Dick

That's the right thing to do, rather than guess at his meaning and risk misinforming him. OK So that'd be 150mm - does that sound normal for an 1890s Jeffries? Except that Jeffries probably would have called it 6 inches.
