Now you've switched to English, Dick, I suppose you want one of these! ;)

No thanks Peter, I think I'll stop at me wee Baritone, thanks. :)

As well as that, it looks like one very dangerous weapon to me ...... I'm not sure I'd actually qualify for a license for it! ;)

In fact, it looks like it might even be able to shift~shape into a small car, to take him home, after the gig!

Anyway, I'd say, it'd probably be easier to find Hen's teeth than one of those enormous beasts!

Aye indeed, A Civil Affair & Copper Cane.

There's a great kick from that Bass on those tracks, Alan.

Although Bernard is best known for his risqué songs with base accompaniment on his Phenomenal Bernard Wrigley record he plays a few tunes including a superb version of "Constant Billy" and a march that his Father used to play.I proffered to try this approach with Bernard rather than his usual stuff.

His own tune A Civil Affair is a great example of his work as a musician and concertina player.

I have had a go on one of these big base concertinas and the vibrations rattle your body.Great fun

Love his concertina playing and his (most peculiar) voice; they go well together. Have some early recording of him, great stuff!
