I really liked the tunes and the viola playing in the Italian videos. The concertina playing was grand too but the clackety-clack of the Marcus was very off putting. I won't be buying one of those then! <_<

The idea is grand, but he was speeding a little. Obviously had some difficult time to keep up.

Looks like concertina is taking some territory, with interesting combinations and settings.

The japanese are impressive too. Guitar is a bit simplistic though.

Yes, that clacking turns me off. Either he's smacking the crap out of the buttons, the action is in need of adjustment or there's something odd in the recording technology. His offering on button box was not clacky in the least.

I must confess to hating recordings where the clacking action interfers with the sound of an instrument. There are a number of wonderful artists who do this and must really like the result.

By the by Misha, you won't rest. The gauntlet has been thrown down and I'm sure you've started already. ;) That Bach was elegant and beautiful.

Some additional information:

I looked the piece I played up - it´s not Bach, the guy is called Jean Baptiste Loeillet de Gant.

He was Belgium and wrote mainly flute pieces as far as I know.

Chilly here, too, Christian, but at least the sun is out at the moment!

Nice bit of playing, by the way.

Regards,

Peter.

I'm not unfamiliar with that name. Wow! Christian, superb playing. I'm damned impressed with your level of artistry.

And here in SF we supposed to have rain and wind. And all we have is sunshine and summer. If this nonsense persists, we're not going to go to our traditional skiing on Christmas. Fist time in 7 years!
